Factory-Direct Custom Packaging
Custom Printed Gift Boxes
Plan artwork, color proofing and surface finishing as one controlled production route for branded gift packaging.

Choose the print route around the artwork
The right process depends on the number of colors, image detail, paper, quantity and finish combination.
CMYK artwork
A practical route for photographic artwork, gradients and multi-color seasonal graphics.
Spot color
Use a defined color reference when a key brand color must remain controlled across production.
Specialty surface
Textured, dyed or coated papers can change color and finish behavior, so physical testing matters.
Printing and finishing options
Use the final paper and actual artwork when comparing effects.
Offset printing
Detailed graphics and broad coverage with prepress and color-proof approval.
Pantone color control
A spot-color reference for important brand colors and repeated programs.
Foil stamping
Metallic or pigmented detail that needs suitable artwork and paper.
Embossing and debossing
Tactile relief developed with the paper, backing and structural support.
Spot UV
Registered gloss contrast for selected artwork areas.
Protective films
Matte, gloss or other selected surface protection after compatibility review.
Proof before release
A screen preview cannot confirm paper color, foil coverage, relief or final surface feel.
Prepress check
Confirm the dimensions, bleed and image resolution. Check the overprint settings and fine lines. Prepare a separate artwork layer for each finishing process.
Color proof
Review the correct reference for the selected print process and substrate.
Process sample
Approve the physical combination of print, paper and finishing before bulk production.
Photo Required
Color proof and bulk-production comparison
Find one landscape photo showing a proof, approved sample and bulk box under consistent light. Recommended 1600 x 1200 px.
Control points during production
The approved sample becomes the reference for color, registration and surface quality.
Color drift
Compare production at defined intervals and separate normal material variation from unacceptable change.
Finish registration
Check foil, UV and embossing against printed elements and structural folds.
Surface protection
Prevent scratches, blocking, rub marks and contamination during handling and packing.
Questions about custom printed gift boxes
Selected factory answers for this buying decision. The complete answer library remains on the FAQ page.
We support CMYK offset printing, screen printing, hot foil, silver foil, blind embossing, debossing, texture embossing and spot UV. Printing handles color and gradients, screen printing gives dense solids, foil adds metallic reflection, embossing changes surface relief and UV creates selective gloss.
Spot UV adds selective gloss, while reverse UV creates a more complex gloss-to-matte contrast. Gloss film boosts color and abrasion resistance; matte film gives a quieter appearance; soft-touch film adds a velvety feel but scratches more easily. Every film changes both appearance and downstream foil compatibility.
Fingerprints, abrasion, white cut edges, batch color variation, incomplete foil and cracked ink at scores are all magnified. Clean handling, dust control, stable paper batches, sufficient turn-ins and appropriate protective film are especially important.
Dust, ink specks, yellow glue marks, exposed greyboard, changes in paper whiteness and long-term yellowing become easy to see. Pale work requires cleaner handling, controlled glue application and careful batch matching.
We lock the ink formula, machine and print settings, compare output throughout the run and avoid splitting the print batch when possible. Ink film must be even and fully dry before finishing, while bleed and trim allowance keep edges clean.
Please supply vector AI, PDF or EPS files, with fonts outlined, colors defined in CMYK or named spot colors and full bleed included. Foil, UV and embossing must be separated into dedicated artwork layers, with final logo size, minimum line weight and version clearly approved.
We issue a dimensioned PDF proof, check each finish separation and compare physical color or foil references. A real process sample is used where appearance matters, because a screen cannot define print or foil acceptance. Orientation is checked on every face, including the inside lid and base.
Print must match the approved reference, register cleanly and remain complete. Foil must transfer and adhere without skips, spread or broken lines. UV must be even and fully cured, embossing must be clear without paper damage, and film must be bonded without bubbles, wrinkles or lifting edges.
